SISTER'S 21st BIRTHDAY :: JULY 28, 2005

My sister Elise is now 21. Yay! For her birthday card I got crafty almost like Martha Stewart and meshed up a cute little blowfish rendering. I made a blowfish so she has someone to help blow all the candles out and a buddy once she starts drinking like a fish and of course because she loves fishes. Hehe...

3D EAGLE PREMIER PROJECT :: JULY 2005

This is a hefty project I decided to start! Its currently incomplete but coming along. The idea behind it is a 3d model of my car, a Chrysler Eagle Premier LX '92. I'm really sure no one has ever made one for this car before (because it is generally considered a p.o.s.) and I figured why not, it may help show I can model real stuff, and of course make my car look sweet! Below I have 8 images- 3 are screenshots from blender (a little proof I made it in case it seems too good to be true...), 3 are pictures I took of it in my driveway, and the other 2 are blender renders. The one in bold is my current render. I am obviously missing a lot of detail, such as an interior, mirrors, license plates, windshield wipers, antenna, gas plug thing, etc.. like I said it's coming along..

Ok this is a strange one- a 3d model of a water bottle I had sitting on my desk. I wanted to get warmed up in making 3d stuff again so I decided to model the closest thing to me. Not too pretty but at least it got me going again. (April 3, 2005)

Yet another desperate attempt to pass all my classes, in this case chemistry again. Not quite as good as the smoking pamphlet I made earlier I don't think, but it's the thought that counts I guess. Sunscreen model was rendered in blender, the rest put together with the Gimp.

THE GLASS MENAGERIE POSTER :: MAY 11, 2005

This is a big poster I made using my blender 3d and image editing skills. It was made with the idea of passing my literature class by all means necessary. The Glass Menagerie is a playwright by Tennessee Williams which we read in class. The assignment was to make a poster similar to other play advertisements you see posted everywhere. Although I'm personally not very satisfied with the final print (which was 30$ at the print shop because of its dimensions..), I think I did a good job because I at least put a lot of time and effort into that damn little 3d unicorn model. I traced a picture of a real glass unicorn to help guide me in making the unicorn look right. One last note: the horn is supposed to be broken off because of an event that happens in the play.
